Maud Caubet Architectes has restructured Racine, an iconic 70s building in Paris, France.

In the heart of Paris's 12th arrondissement, next to Sorbonne Nouvelle, the Racine project is transforming the former headquarters of the ONF (French National Forestry Office) and offers a new lease of life to the city.

This unique office building has had its facade completely renovated and its roof topped with a glass greenhouse, like an extension to the sky.

The result of a consultation between public and private stakeholders, the Racine project offers a more slender silhouette and a mix of uses perfectly integrated into its neighbourhood.

This project has been longlisted in the heritage project category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
