Multitude of Sins has designed the interiors of Requiem for Ruins, transforming 90 per cent of discarded construction waste into a provocative Material Lab in Bengaluru, India.

Requiem for Ruins is an innovative extension of the designer's studio, manifesting as the Material Lab, merging art and function to challenge perceptions of waste and ignite urgent conversations on sustainability.

This transformation redefines sustainability, embracing project remnants, prototypes and forgotten materials to breathe new artistic life into what was once deemed obsolete.

More than a workspace, the lab serves as a living gallery that compels visitors and inhabitants alike to reimagine possibilities and challenge societal perceptions of waste.

By turning refuse into a vibrant creative environment, Multitude of Sins set a benchmark for conscientious creativity, inspiring a new narrative around resourcefulness and the potential inherent in the discarded.

This project has been longlisted in the sustainable interior category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
