Lynch Architects has designed Shacklewell Lane, a family home in London, England.
Formerly a dairy, laundrette and music studio, Shacklewell Lane is a radically reimagined family home in the heart of Hackney, East London.
"Our clients purchased a somewhat decrepit 19th-century dairy 20 years ago and have been living and working there in a variety of creative ways since," said Lynch Architects.
The property, which sits within a Conservation Area, now houses a recording studio and a furniture shop and is home to the couple and their two young children.
"Our work consist[ed] of the renovation of the old dairy and milking parlour at the rear and the house and shop on the street," added Lynch Architects.
This project has been longlisted in the house renovation category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
