Norm Architects has designed Sjöparken, a serene retreat blending Nordic simplicity, Japanese tradition, and tropical resort living in perfect harmony with nature in Halland, Sweden.
Nestled in Halland's serene beech forests, Sjöparken redefines tranquillity and luxury. Designed for relaxation – whether unwinding in in-room saunas, taking refreshing dips from private jetties, or gazing through expansive windows – these lakefront retreats embody simplicity while offering warmth and tactility.
Each of the seven villas, delicately perched on the lake, consists of four hotel rooms connected by glass corridors, evoking the feeling of an open-air village.
Thoughtfully designed to blur the boundaries between interior and exterior, the retreat offers a refined yet grounding experience where architecture and landscape merge seamlessly, fostering a deep connection with the natural surroundings.
This project has been longlisted in the hospitality project category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
