Spinneybeck has designed Søuld Baffle, a sustainable acoustic solution featuring eelgrass, a rapidly renewable and carbon-storing natural material.

Crafted from eelgrass that grows freely along the coast of Denmark, Søuld Baffle is a sustainable acoustic solution that takes advantage of the beautiful and inherent qualities of eelgrass.

This sound-absorbing baffle keeps the aesthetic modern while bringing a natural warmth and texture overhead.

Baffles can be customised in length to fit spaces large and small in straightforward or dynamic configurations and multiple suspension options provide easy installation.

Søuld Baffle was designed using eelgrass from material manufacturer Søuld, a Danish company deeply committed to creating environmentally friendly, recyclable and carbon-storing products.

This project has been longlisted in the sustainable design category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
