AIIX Studio has designed the interiors of Strichka, a restaurant in Kyiv, Ukraine.

The concept of Strichka (translating as 'ribbon' in Ukrainian) begins with its cuisine – contemporary Ukrainian dishes inspired by history, crafted with local ingredients.

"Each plate tells a story, blending heritage with a modern touch," said AIIX Studio.

These ideas are reflected in the interior, in which traditions are reimagined through modern design, revealing the depth of Ukrainian culture.

Decorative tiles and ceramic plates with unique meadow flower imprints were handmade exclusively for Strichka by local artisans.

These custom pieces symbolise the connection between culture and nature while giving the space an unmistakable character.

Strichka embodies the layers of Ukrainian culture, blending nature, craftsmanship and traditions into a fresh, contemporary experience.

This project has been longlisted in the restaurant interior category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
