JKMM Architects has designed Tammela Hybrid Stadium, a multifunctional urban block in Tampere, Finland.
The Tammela Stadium is a hybrid urban block combining a UEFA-standard football stadium with residential buildings, a shopping centre and public services.
Designed by JKMM Architects, this project redefines stadium typology by embedding it into the city fabric, both spatially and socially.
With 256 apartments, 8,000 spectator seats and year-round community use, the stadium becomes an integrated civic landmark rather than a detached mono-functional venue.
As a result, its compact footprint and layered programming address land-use efficiency, sustainability and urban vibrancy.
This project has been longlisted in the mixed use project category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
