Golden has designed the bathroom interiors of Temple House, a family home that harmoniously balances a gallery in Melbourne, Australia.
Temple House represents a family home unique in pragmatic function, along with being a gallery, sophisticated living, bound by beautifully crafted spaces. The brief for the master ensuite was to create a luxurious, hotel-like retreat within a compact footprint.
Careful spatial planning enabled the inclusion of a dual vanity – designed as a sculptural central pedestal with two basins and a dividing mirror – offering a functional his-and-her experience.
Natural stone is used generously throughout, curving elegantly around the pedestal basin and anchoring the space with a sense of bold refinement.
This is softened by a waterproof render finish, chosen for both durability and the way it interacts with light filtering through the garden-facing windows.
The overall result is a space that balances durability with sensory calm, built to endure without compromising on elegance.
This project has been longlisted in the bathroom interior category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
