Office JDY has designed the interiors of the VEJA Williamsburg sneaker retail store, featuring a cobbler station and custom textured plaster display surfaces in Brooklyn, New York, United States.

This new retail location for French sneaker brand VEJA celebrates the idiosyncratic existing conditions common to New York City buildings.

Within the shell of a former industrial garage, this project includes an open sales floor, stock room and cobbler station for shoe repair.

The brand's sustainability-focused ethos and minimalist aesthetic were drivers for the design approach, which involved the remediation and repair of a variety of existing masonry, wood, concrete and stucco materials.

The resulting amalgamation of different colours and textures serves as a background to the white plaster and metal sales surfaces, which are the primary new finishes.

This project has been longlisted in the retail interior (small) category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
