Studio MK27 has designed the Village House in Porto Feliz, Brazil.

Located on a large ranch in São Paulo's countryside, Village House dissolves boundaries between rural life, indoors and outdoors.

The plan, shaped by fluid movement, forms a collective village under a shared marquee.

Thick stone walls define programmatic boxes, preserving intimacy while opening onto alleys and piazzas.

Inspired by medieval villages, its uneven surfaces and displaced geometries invite exploration. Natural light filters through the slab, casting the trees' shadows, while mashrabiya panels soften the rustic stone walls.

Warm wood clads interiors, creating a cosy ambience while furniture in natural fabrics, leather and fibres enhances the rural character, blending simplicity with sophistication.

This project has been longlisted in the house rural category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
