Skate Architects, PMAM and Batlle i Roig have designed the Igualada Skatepark, a part of Parc Central's extension in Igualada, Spain.
This project is about dignifying skateboarding and the space skateboarders use with a new skatepark completely integrated into the new park and its vegetation.
"It's also about how we can help build our cities with skateboarding projects as a positive urban resource," said Skate Architects.
The result is a new public space for skateboarding offering a real sportive solution to the reality of both bowl and street skateboarding, simultaneously playing with the identity of a skate park.
This project has been shortlisted in the landscape and urban design category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
