Shortlisted for Dezeen Awards 2025 Bentley Lighthouse Award, designer Jessie French is the founder of Melbourne-based design studio Other Matter.

The studio uses non-petrochemical plastics within its projects, including interior, exhibition and product design.

Amongst its products are the OM Windows and bioplastic tableware, made from algae-derived polymers.

French's recent interior projects include Aesop's first store in Hainan Island, China, which evokes an underwater cave and the brand's installations at Melbourne Design Week.

Jessie French is shortlisted in the Bentley Lighthouse Award category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
