Studio Khoa Vu has renovated and redeveloped Ts Veil, a corner villa, into a social dining space shaped by light, mist and climate-responsive design in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Ts Veil transforms a three-story villa in Ho Chi Minh City into a social dining space through a dual-layer strategy: an outer metal veil that filters light and air and a raw, modern interior of exposed materials.

"The client requested a full transformation of a 300-square-meter, early-2000s villa into a contemporary dining space in Ho Chi Minh City," said Studio Khoa Vu.

In response, Studio Khoa Vu proposed a strategic renovation rather than demolition, preserving the existing structural frame, stairs and floor plates to reduce waste and embodied carbon, while reimagining the building's spatial and climatic performance.

The design embraces tropical climate and street life, offering a porous, adaptive model of renovation and reuse.

This project has been shortlisted in the hospitality project category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
