Jacobsen Studio has designed the interiors of Lavva Restaurant in São Paulo, Brazil.

Located within Cidade Matarazzo in São Paulo, Lavva Restaurant translates the rituals of Korean barbecue into an immersive interior organised around fire and participation.

Integrated grills at each table turn cooking into part of the dining experience – while a sculptural staircase and open kitchen expose movement and food preparation as public performances.

Charred wood ceilings improve acoustics and reinforce the atmosphere created by fire and smoke.

Rustic walls, Brazilian stone and illuminated metallic curtains create layers of intimacy without fully isolating the space.

The result is a restaurant where material, heat, sound and circulation shape how people gather and interact.
