Daria Sheina Studio has designed The Nest on Keats Island, Canada.
Perched at the highest point of Keats Island, The Nest is a compact off-grid retreat designed for low-impact living.
Prefabricated and airlifted into place, the three-level structure is carefully sited within rugged terrain and forest canopy.
Powered by solar energy and supported by sustainable systems and materials throughout, The Nest explores new formal possibilities for small-scale remote architecture – maximising spatial perception within a compact footprint while minimising impact on the delicate terrain.
