Cheng Chung Design (CCD) has designed the interiors of Hotel Indigo Nalati in Xiangzhou, China.
Located along the Duku Highway in Nalati, Hotel Indigo reinterprets Kazakh nomadic traditions through contemporary hospitality design, creating an immersive resort experience connected to nature.
"The client envisioned a destination resort deeply rooted in Nalati's grassland culture while aligning with Hotel Indigo's neighbourhood storytelling philosophy," said CCD.
Inspired by Kazakh yurts, nomadic migration and seasonal change, this project adopts a decentralised masterplan connected by forest pathways.
Local materials, including stone, timber, brick, felt-inspired textiles, textured plaster and handcrafted decorative elements, were integrated to create a warm, inviting hospitality environment.
