Ater Architects has designed the interiors of Dari Apartment in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Designed during the peak of Ukraine's blackouts, Dari Apartment was envisioned as a calm and optimistic refuge within a new residential complex in Kyiv.

"The client sought a warm, contemporary interior that would subtly reflect Ukrainian culture while preserving a minimalist aesthetic," said Ater Architects.

The apartment combines creamy tones, natural wood, soft textiles and golden accents with works by young Ukrainian artists, handcrafted ceramics and a traditional lizhnyk rug made using historical weaving techniques.

Rounded architectural gestures, tactile materials and layered local references create an atmosphere that feels intimate, timeless and quietly resilient.
