Carmody Groarke has designed the ArtPlay Pavilion at Dulwich Picture Gallery in London, United Kingdom.

The ArtPlay Pavilion and the adaptive reuse and extension of the historic Gallery Cottage are designed to support creativity, learning and environmental responsibility in the listed grounds of Dulwich Picture Gallery, marking a new chapter for the institution.

The scheme expands access to the historic site, strengthening its relevance for today's visitors and implementing site-wide decarbonisation measures across the gallery's new and existing buildings.

Reinterpreting the architectural legacy of Sir John Soane's gallery building through contemporary means, this project places children, families and the landscape at the centre of a playful and low-carbon transformation.
