Studio SC has designed the new Southern Entrance at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra, Australia.

The Australian War Memorial New Southern Entrance is a contemporary intervention within one of Australia's most significant heritage settings.

This project improves accessibility, visitor services and public programming while carefully preserving the Memorial's silhouette, sightlines and ceremonial character.

Through reused materials, matched sandstone, restrained reflectivity and symbolic alignment with the Hall of Memory, the design strengthens the Memorial's heritage values while supporting its future use.

As a result, this project benefits the Australian War Memorial by strengthening its heritage significance while enabling it to meet contemporary public needs.
