Studio Lieu has designed the interiors of Double Trip Press in Chicago, United States.

Double Trip Press is a modern letterpress studio inspired by the vintage craft; its interior emphasises letterpress-like tactility through richly textured materials like wood, concrete, plaster and cork.

Custom shelving, designed with a gridded modular system, echoes the form of antique wood sorts.

The layout places all fixed elements along the perimeter, while central elements are mounted on casters for maximum flexibility – supporting both daily production and occasional workshops or events.

The result is a light-filled, adaptable workspace that balances the precision and rigour of letterpress printing with a warm, welcoming atmosphere for clients.
