Muneji Toh Architects has designed Fat Wood Shoji.

The Fat Wood Shoji is a Japanese sliding door made from fat wood, a precious material extracted from pine trees, often rich in resin.

The resin, which has accumulated over many years, glows a "bewitching red when it catches the light," said Muneji.

By transforming previously unused wood into beautiful materials and creating a sliding door for everyday life, Fat Wood Shoji recycles the fat wood of Japan's vast forest resources.
