Michael Tower Architecture has designed the Kettl Sen Mon Ten lighting for Kettl Tea.

Kettl Tea partnered with Michael Tower Architecture to create Sen Mon Ten, a Greenpoint cafe devoted entirely to matcha and its ceremonial qualities.

The design features two interconnected spaces: a bright, tactile public café with smooth concrete, plaster and stone surfaces, balancing refinement with imperfection.

The second, more intimate private tasting room is centred beneath a glowing suspended wood light feature and a ceremonial matcha mill display.

Together, the spaces create an immersive journey that reflects both the social and meditative aspects of matcha culture.
