Carole Baijings has designed the Lijn Seating collection for Geiger of MillerKnoll.

The Lijn Seating collection begins with a pure, minimal chair with armrests. From this essential form, the design evolves into multiple expressions: without armrests, upholstered and complemented by a quilted cushion.

"Like a body being dressed, the chair transforms through layers, textures and finishes while preserving the clarity of its original structure," said Carole Baijings.

The quilt is another way of dressing the chair, adapting it to different levels of comfort and to different moods.

"For this chair, we designed a capsule collection; we wanted to dress the chair," added Carole Baijings.

"Every piece has its own unique quality, yet they all belong to the same family."
