Globally, fewer than 10 per cent of all plastic ever produced has been recycled, because the economics of reprocessing rarely justify the value of the output: Other Matter Leather is designed to invert that logic.

Debuting at Melbourne Design Week 2026, Other Matter Leather is a furniture-grade upholstery surface made entirely from offcuts and returned end-of-life OM Signage Film – Other Matter's own algae-derived, non-petrochemical signage material.

It is the first product of a complete circular system in which signage is manufactured, used, returned and reformed into upholstery with no material exiting the loop.
