Field Operations has designed Presidio Tunnel Tops in San Francisco, United States.

Bridging over seven lanes of the tunnelled Presidio Parkway, Presidio Tunnel Tops reclaims highway infrastructure as 14 acres of public parkland, reconnecting San Francisco's Presidio Main Post to the Bay for the first time in generations.

Through choreographed topography, accessible circulation and ecologically grounded landscapes, the park transforms a once-divisive transportation corridor into a civic destination of trails, meadows, overlooks and gathering spaces.

Since opening, Presidio Tunnel Tops has welcomed nearly 6 million visitors and hosted more than 100 community-based organisations.

Outpost Meadow extends this success, reinforcing the park as a model for reclaiming infrastructure in service of public life.
