Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) has designed the Sany Irootech Headquarters in Guangzhou, China.

Designed for Sany's new cloud-technology venture, the Sany Irootech Headquarters rises as two interconnected towers in Guangzhou's rapidly developing Pazhou business district.

An expressive diagrid and internal hanging system articulate the building's technological ambition, creating flexible, column-free floor plates filled with daylight, while providing resilience against seismic events.

A spanning elevated podium bridges the towers, opening the site as a multi-level public destination where abundant landscaping, tree-lined terraces, site-specific artwork, tactile materials and civic amenities temper technological expression with a human-centred public realm.
