Woodio has refined a series of wood-based washbasins for its Soft collection.

Woodio renewed its Soft washbasin collection in Spring 2025, with the renewed basin models made from the brand's proprietary material, a waterproof and lightweight wood composite that combines wood chips with bio-based resin.

The new colours, Earth, Sand and Coal, launched at the same time with the basin models, are derived from a fine mix of Finnish spruce and pine, originating from the forest industry's sidestreams – waste that would otherwise end up burnt.

As a result, the washbasins have up to 80 per cent lower carbon footprint than comparable traditional ceramic basins.
