Minimuc Design Studio has renovated the kitchen interiors of The Teahouse in Eindhoven, Netherlands.

The Teahouse is a residential renovation in the Netherlands, commissioned as a kitchen redesign for clients who rarely cook.

"Opposing the popular belief that the kitchen is the heart of the house, the project began with a different question: what is a kitchen when cooking is no longer its primary purpose?" said Minimuc.

The answer is a functional node from which two spatial vectors extend: one inward toward an enclosed teahouse for pause and daily practice; the other toward the dining area, supporting gathering while drawing light and views deep into the interior.

As a result, The Teahouse becomes a domestic landscape shaped by life.
