The Rothwell Chair Symposium 2021 sees architects Anne Lacaton and Jean Philippe Vassal discuss how to deal with the contemporary urban conditions of living in the city.

The three-day event, which is hosted by the Univerity of Sydney, showcases social and affordable housing designs with an aim to engage with real-world political, financial and planning projects.

The event features the founders of Lacaton & Vassal Architectes, who were recently named the 2021 winners of the Pritzker Architecture Prize, Christophe Hutin, architect and curator of the French pavilion at the 2021 Venice Architecture Biennale, and Nicole Gurran, professor at the Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning.

Lacaton and Vassal: Rothwell Chair Symposium 2021 takes place online from 27 to 29 April 2021.
