Dezeen Music Project: Vulpix by King No One

UK band King No One have crafted a short, sweet and no-nonsense indie-pop song with this track called Vulpix. The band have avoided any fancy production tricks and created a refreshingly stripped-back record that lets the song shine through.

The track was submitted to Dezeen Music Project by online record label Curious Absurdities. You can listen to more Curious Absurdities tracks here.

Dezeen Music Project: Marks of a Tear (remix) by BLKrKRT

This is a remix of a track by Japanese artist Yu-Chi, which we featured on Dezeen Music Project back in August last year. The original track is both weird and beautiful, a quality that BLKrKRT's remix retains, while introducing a darker, more brooding intensity.

You can listen to the original track here.

The track was submitted to Dezeen Music Project by online record label Curious Absurdities. You can listen to other tracks we've featured from them here.

Dezeen Music Project: L'Eau Tonne by Aimedeuxhaine

This disco-infused dance track by French producer Aimedeuxhaine is another release by online label Curious Absurdities. Brimming with soulful melodies and funky bass-lines, L'Eau Tonne has been skilfully put together. The track seems even more impressive when you consider that Aimedeuxhaine is just 17 years old.

L'Eau Tonne is taken from an eight track EP called Somed, which you can download for free here.

Dezeen Music Project: Summer Haze by Oathless

This lush, downtempo electronica track is by a UK artist based in Stoke-on-Trent called Oathless. The track is taken from an EP of the same name released by online label Curious Absurdities in October. You can listen to the full EP for free here.

Dezeen Music Project: Marks of a Tear by Yu-Chi

Online music label Curious Absurdities has contributed some great chill-out tracks to Dezeen Music Project over the past few months (check them out here), but this instrumental composition by Japanese artist Yu-Chi is something very different. In fact, existing somewhere between the beautiful and the bizarre, Marks of a Tear isn't much like anything we've featured on Dezeen Music Project before.

The track comes from Yu-Chi's recently released album Monochrome Clown, which is well worth a listen and is available to download for free.

Dezeen Music Project: When I Dream by AB2G

We've had a hot, busy day at the press preview of Herzog & de Meuron and Ai Weiwei's Serpentine Gallery Pavilion which opens to the public tomorrow, so we were grateful to get back to the office and find this tranquil chill-out track by AB2G to wind down to.

The track was submitted by Curious Absurdities, an online music label run by General Reef, who we featured on Dezeen Music Project last week. Curious Absurdities have got loads of other great artists on their books, so make sure you check them out.

Dezeen Music Project: Life by General Reef

The sun is shining and the temperature keeps on rising here at Clerkenwell Design Week where we are rushing about trying to cover the festival as well as looking after our Dezeen Watch Store pop-up shop. We need a track to help us chill out, and this ambient soundscape by General Reef should do the trick.
