Michael Young appreciates o.d.m.’s expertise in watch making and mutual understanding of the importance of design, would like to collaborate with o.d.m.

When designing this timepiece collection for odm, Michael Young has altered the conventional mindset of how a watch looks like, and the outcome is the extraordinary and innovative new collection.

The position of time panel and buttons are cleverly reversed for a fresh way to read the time, and thus the name of the collection – Reverse.

Users will no doubt appreciate the unusual wittiness of the design. This special collaboration collection has 8 SKUs in total, 4 distinctive colors in each style.

MY01 Reverse Collection

The position of time panel and buttons are ingeniously reversed for a fresh way to read time, thus the name of the collection – Reverse.

Reverse analogue collection, you will not find a side button, but a super large knock-sensor at its face, making it a very unique piece in the market. Users could simply tap it to activate the EL backlight function that enables a glow below the button. Minimal design of the 3 hands allows only their tips to appear on the outer ring of the button for a total new perspective in time.

This exciting new collection will surely arouse much interest amongst the public, and users will appreciate the unusual wittiness of the design. Available in four enigmatic hues: coral red, olive green, grey and black.

MY02 Reverse Collection

Michael Young likes to think out of the box. A perfect example of it is his latest design of the Reverse digital collection, where he has swapped the positions of the push buttons and displays. So buttons are now on the surface of watch case whereas the displays are on its sides, making it a timepiece in totally new form. Not only does the double-display guarantees dual time function, time-reading has now become something fun and amusing with the symmetric design of the watch.

For example, if the user travels to a different time zone, he can simply wear the watch the other way round to read time when arriving into the new destination, then simply flip it back when returning to hometown. With Reverse digital, time-reading can be much more fun than you ever imagined! Available in four enigmatic hues: coral red, olive green, grey and black.

The double-display guarantees dual time function, and with the symmetric design of the watch, it has a playful way to read time. Probably inspired by frequent travelers, when the user travels, he can simply wear the watch up-side-down when arriving in new time zone. Then flip it back when returned to original town. That way, he doesn’t need to readjust the time!!

Wow… these are weird. They almost look like kids toys!

Everytime I see these type of watchs ‘MY01’I think of Marc Newson’s iconic Ikepods eventhough this is a different design/styling. I guess the flip side is that these watches are more accessible in terms of cost.

I find the second watch more ‘original’ although less practical, could be a mini ‘simon says’ game for long train rides.

My wife bought the analogue one in Hong Kong while ago.

Honestly we do have some problems with adjusting the time, other than that the looks are nice. :)

Does anyone actually wear watches anymore?

I actually think that the digital ones are quite ugly. I love the analog ones though.
