Written by Dutch architecture critic and journalist Bernard Hulsman, the book is divided into chapters that loosely group the projects into chronological order – titled with names like An Architecture of Spectacle and F*ck the Zeitgeist.

Hulsman text describes how Postmodernism's breakthrough in the Netherlands occurred almost unnoticed and how the radical Wilde Wonen concept for anything-goes, consumer-led housing ultimately failed.
