Watch Rossana Hu and Jaime Oliver discuss designing for collective experience at World Architecture Festival

Architects Rossana Hu and Jaime Oliver discussed designing religious, arts and civic facilities for the collective experience at the World Architecture Festival 2017 in Berlin.

Jaime Oliver is the co-director, along with Paloma Hernaiz, of OHLAB, the Mallorca-based architecture and design practice behind this angular house on a sloped site in Palma de Mallorca.

Rossana Hu founded the Shanghai practice Neri&Hu with her partner Lyndon Neri in 2004, and since has completed projects across the sectors of interiors, architecture and design. Among the studio's past projects are the revival of a 1930’s theatre in Shanghai and the creation of cavernous interiors for a new cultural centre also in the city.

Dezeen was media partner for World Architecture Festival 2017, which this year takes place in Berlin in conjunction with the Inside festival of interior design.

We broadcasted a number of talks and seminars from both events – including talks by Pierre de Meuron and Kim Cook – as well as conducting video interviews with the winners.

World Architecture Festival took place from 15 – 17 November 2017 at Arena Berlin. Take a look at the full programme.
