Ekstrem chair by Terje Ekstrøm for Varier
Originally created by industrial designer Terje Ekstrøm in 1984,
Varier has rereleased the Ekstrem chair in new fabric options.
chair is a classic piece of Norwegian postmodernist furniture and is now available in a knitted velvet fabric called Gentle 2 from Danish upholstery brand Kvadrat.
The Ekstrem chair was featured on Dezeen Showroom this week, alongside a sun umbrella that doubles as an outdoor light source and a seating collection that features armrests used as an additional place to sit.
