World's 47 most striking interiors shortlisted for Dezeen Awards 2023

Dezeen has announced the interiors shortlist for this year's Dezeen Awards, which includes interior designs by Omar Gandhi Architects, Hawkins\Brown and Universal Design Studio.

The 46 shortlisted studios, which are in the running for awards in nine different interior project categories, are located across 23 different countries including Poland, Slovakia, India, Mexico and Slovenia.

The top four represented studio countries are Australia and the UK tied with six shortlisted entries, followed by USA and China, tied with four.

The top project city locations are London, with six shortlisted entries, followed by Shanghai with four and Tokyo, Paris and New York in third with three each.

The shortlist features projects with tile-clad interiors such as an open-plan apartment in Madrid’s bohemian Conde Duque neighbourhood and an earthy-toned rooftop bar at Ace Hotel Toronto.

Local architecture studios Productora and Esrawe Studio were also shortlisted this year for their hotel interior with planes of suspended green tiles in Mexico.

Other shortlisted projects include a courtyard house renovated into a flagship fragrance store in Beijing, a 6,400-square-metre office building featuring cork and a modern glass roof extension of an Edwardian building in Sydney.
