The Desert Villa is a furniture collection by Headstarts, designed with traditional techniques of artisans in Japan.

The project makes use of materials such as wood offcuts and linen patches that were previously discarded. By incorporating traditional techniques and skills of artisans in Japan, the studio has revived the value of unused materials.

This project has been longlisted in the furniture design project category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
