Designed by Atelier Baulier, Kova Patisserie is a Japanese cake and pastry shop in South Kensington, London.

Making the most from a narrow space, the layout provides a generous seating area facing a counter, which displays with clarity the shop's offerings.

Drawing inspiration from traditional Japanese gardens, the space has been meticulously curated to enhance the customer's experience.

A careful selection of materials provide a tonal colour palette, playing with shades of greys and pink that complement the bright green colour of the patisserie's signature cake: the matcha millecrepes.

This project has been longlisted in the small interior category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
