Muse&Co., has designed the Crunchyroll San Francisco Headquarters in California, United States.

This project embodies the idea that a company's cultural identity can (and should) go far beyond simple colour schemes and logos on the walls. By investing in the design of their offices, companies can also invest in the mental health and wellbeing of their employees.

"We were approached by Crunchyroll, the world's largest anime streaming and production company, to reimagine their 80,000sqft headquarters in San Francisco," said Muse&Co.

Entering, you leave downtown San Francisco to find yourself in the heart of Tokyo. The designers and master fabricators converged on this windowless space to create a scale-shifting reimagining of downtown Tokyo – including an elevated subway train, street-market cafe, arcade, and Park Hyatt lounge made famous by Lost in Translation.

Three upper floors explore specific areas of Japanese culture, geography, and history, featuring spaces themed after the anime shows that fill Crunchyroll's roster.

This project has been longlisted in the large workspace interiors category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
