Hubo Studio has designed a Reggio-inspired early learning centre for the Redhill School in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The Redhill Early Learning Centre is a vibrant, child-centred environment designed by Hubo Studio for up to 370 learners aged three to eight.

This project features four vertical atelier towers and 16 surrounding homebases, where children grow through these creative hubs, progressing upward as they advance.

"At the heart is The Piazza, our African take on the Italian town square, buzzing with community, cooking aromas, and a child-designed mosaic with Usha Seejarim," said Hubo Studio.

A surrounding park blurs the line between indoors and out, offering play spaces co-designed with physiotherapists to nurture movement and exploration.

Here, architecture becomes an extension of learning, where every corner invites curiosity and connection.

This project has been longlisted in the education project category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
