Alan Prekop has transformed the interiors of Anchor, a former office, into an artist residency apartment in Bratislava, Slovakia.
A former office on the sixth floor of Bratislava's iconic Anchor House has been transformed into a compact yet elegant apartment.
Featuring panoramic views, steel structure with 3D printed connections and a versatile platform stage, the design maximises functionality within a small space.
The renovation embraces sustainability through the use of a stainless steel structure, which can be completely uninstalled, recycled plastic terrazzo and restored parquet flooring.
The apartment blends historical elements with contemporary design. This thoughtful conversion respects the building's architectural heritage while offering a modern living environment that integrates style, comfort and environmental responsibility in a truly unique setting.
This project has been longlisted in the residential interior (small) category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
