Fotofoto has designed The Zero-Waste Disposable, an innovative, closed-loop 'disposable' film camera.
Fotofoto redefines sustainability in analogue photography with a thoughtfully designed, upcycled 'disposable' camera—crafted from reclaimed camera cores, featuring proprietary auto‐flash, vibrant colourways and a fully closed‐loop lifecycle.

Fotofoto's brief was to reinvent the disposable camera for today's creative, eco-conscious consumers, such as Millennial and Gen Z photographers, design enthusiasts and sustainability advocates.

The Zero‐Waste Disposable reclaims functional cores from discarded disposables and enhances them with a light-sensing chip to eliminate blank exposures.

Zero is designed and assembled by Fotofoto's six‐person team based in Brooklyn, New York, where its outer shell is moulded from recycled plastic and all film processing, refurbishment and final assembly occur in‐house – ensuring quality control and traceability throughout a truly circular product lifecycle.

This project has been longlisted in the product design (consumer design) category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
