Pentagram has designed the Loka Chai Maker, which works as seamlessly as a stove-top coffee pot.

The Loka Chai Maker makes it possible to make authentic chai at home – with ease and without mess.

The design features a patent-pending 'chai fountain' that eliminates boil-over and enhances brewing, an integrated strainer and allows drip-free pouring from any direction.

The materiality references classic South Asian cookware and modern technology.

As a result, the design has met with success due to its functionality, ergonomics and aesthetics.

This project has been longlisted in the product design (consumer design) category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
