Pew is a minimalist yet striking stool and side table that re-imagines the traditional British church pew, with sustainability at its core.

This original design combines historical influences with a sustainable, eco-conscious approach, breathing new life into an instantly recognisable form.

Pew originated from EJM Studio's vision of reimagining historically rich but often overlooked furniture typologies.

Crafted from oak sourced from Fallen & Felled – a London-based supplier committed to repurposing timber from trees that have fallen naturally – each Pew stool embraces imperfections in the wood, honouring its character and emphasising the importance of reuse.

This project has been longlisted in the furniture design category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
