JSa has transformed a former ice factory into its new architectural studio in Mexico City, Mexico.

JSa has redesigned and converted a former ice factory into a manifesto of regenerative design where solar power, rain harvest, water treatment and vegetation achieve a symbiotic reciprocity between building, landscape and occupants.

Three decades after the factory ceased operations and was abandoned thereafter, local architecture studio JSa has resolved to make it its new home.

Simultaneously an architectural project, an ecosystem and a community space, the space articulates a living rehabilitation of the post-industrial Atlampa neighbourhood.

This project has been shortlisted in the workplace project (small) category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
