URBA, in collaboration with EJTECH, has designed the interiors of Onyx Æther, a fine dining restaurant in Budapest, Hungary.

Onyx Æther is a transformative dining space that fuses narrative architecture, sensory design and sustainability.

Raw, preserved walls honour the venue's history, while the focal sunken communal table and modular sofa, crafted from surplus wool and natural resin, invite fluid, intuitive use.

In addition, custom tables and partition screens cast from melted aluminium waste highlight material reuse and imperfection.

A soft monolith – a large-scale textile sculpture – shifts atmospherically throughout the evening, while subtle quadraphonic sound and bespoke lighting enhance the immersive environment.

This project has been shortlisted in the restaurant interior category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
