Reiters Wing has designed the interiors of Restaurant Flore, a restaurant that translates conscious fine dining that balances raw texture with refined luxury in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Restaurant Flore's redesign creates a seamless connection between Chef Bas van Kranen's sustainable culinary philosophy and the dining environment at Amsterdam's De L'Europe.
The transformation employs pioneering ecological materials – particularly carbon-negative lime hemp – alongside locally-sourced woods and patinated brass. An undulating ceiling inspired by the Amstel River enhances acoustics while creating visual drama.
Custom-designed furniture, handcrafted by local artisans, complements the raw-meets-refined aesthetic.
The space transitions guests from the hotel's classical grandeur into a warm, organic world where every element – from the sculptural 'Flore Chair' to the theatrical open kitchen – reinforces the restaurant's commitment to sustainability without compromising luxury.
This project has been longlisted in the restaurant interior category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
