Type 0 Architects has designed the interiors of Nowhere Baths, a gender-inclusive bathhouse in Singapore.
Nowhere Baths is a gender-inclusive bathhouse located in Singapore’s Dempsey Hill, a former military compound, where sculpted architecture, sensory immersion, and tropical landscape converge to create an elemental, reflective and restorative bathing experience.
Housed in a refurbished colonial-era barrack, this project is conceived as a journey through shifting thermal atmospheres and sensory immersion.
Elliptical volumes cradle the body and blur boundaries between architecture and nature.
Framed views, infinity pools and softened light connect the interior and the forest.
The use of textured plaster, terracotta tiles and corrugated aluminium, materials drawn from the site's military past, is reinterpreted to create a tactile experience of stillness and renewal.
This project has been shortlisted in the leisure and wellness interior category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
