Shortlisted for Dezeen Awards 2025 architect of the year, architectural practice Kéré Architecture was founded in 2005 by Pritzker Architecture Prize-winning architect Diébédo Francis Kéré.
The Berlin-based studio is focused on creating spaces that spotlight its design ethos and social commitment. The company's portfolio spans a wide spectrum of projects, from installations to civic infrastructures.
Recent projects include the design of the Thomas Sankara Mausoleum in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, to commemorate the country's former president, and the design of a wooden daycare centre at the Technical University of Munich.
The practice has also designed the forthcoming Las Vegas Museum of Art, which will be built in the Symphony Park area of Downtown Las Vegas, and a spa for a private residence in Switzerland, featuring a bamboo ceiling.
