Jillian Dinkel has designed the bathroom interiors of Kilmory House, a heritage home in Sydney, Australia.

Kilmory House reimagines Australia's Arts and Crafts legacy through a modern lens, transforming a historic home into a vibrant entertainer's retreat.

The home's bathrooms were transformed into an escapist powder room and a zen wellness spa.

"The bathrooms are truly where our imagination and potential were given limitless bounds," said Jillian Dinkel.

Material selection balanced the preservation of heritage elements with the introduction of contemporary craftsmanship.

Sustainability was achieved through the restoration of existing features, reduction of unnecessary material procurement and preservation of the home's character.

The result is a space that bridges past and present, celebrating the elegance and functionality of modern living while honouring the home's storied history.

This project has been shortlisted in the bathroom interior category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
