Winner: Workplace design of the year 2025. Mario Ferrarini Studio has designed Offecct Circulus for Flokk, a multi-purpose modular sofa system.

Offecct Circulus is a modular sofa system designed for public and office spaces, emphasising circular design principles.

The adaptable system stems from a construction methodology that allows for a variety of configurations.

Built around an innovative, robust steel structure, a disassemblable series of modules can be linked up to any length, with options of different heights, armrests and the ability to apply different removable upholstery covers.

"This approach allows us to build in comfort and volume required for a sofa without the traditional material bulk, all the while incorporating the ability for disassembly and recycling," said Mario Ferrarini Studio.

Judges comments: "This contract seating system cleverly brings courageous changes to workplace furniture. Not only is the design hardwearing, but should it get damaged it is easily repairable due to its efficient use of few components. The designer has also reduced the material bulk and visual weight from the construction, breathing a new aesthetic language into workplace design."
